The island of Mallorca is a tourist mecca with endless opportunities for vacationers, most of which are less than an hours drive from Podadores.

Esporles

Esporles is a small town of 4000 people just 3km from the Finca. Here you will find supermarkets, restaurants, bars and cafes. There is also a pharmacy and walk-in medical clinic. Every Saturday morning Esporles has a market where you can buy fresh, local produce.

Golfing

There are dozens of world class golf courses to choose from in Mallorca! Just 3kms from Podadores you will find Golf Son Termens. This beautiful course nestled in the foothills on the Tramuntana mountains is a full service, eighteen hole course. It has a beautiful club house with a restaurant, bar and terrace with spectacular views towards Palma and the Mediterranean sea.

Hiking

Very close to Podadores you will find access to Mallorca's extensive hiking trail system. These trails cover hundreds of kilometres primarily along the islands rugged North coast in the Tramuntana mountain range. The trails are quite varied and include ones with beach access to much more challenging hikes that rise as high as 4,000'.

Beach Excursions:

Mallorca is blessed with an abundance of varying types of beaches. Although Podadores is in the foothills of the mountains there are several small beaches close by to choose from. The beaches on the north side of the island are primarily rocky, but far less crowded than the more popular sandy beaches to the south.

Port De S'es Cononge

Port De S'es Cononge is approximately 8km North West of Podadores through the town of Esporles and towards Andratx. The road leading to the beach is very narrow and winding, but once you arrive, you will discover a very peaceful and relaxing beach. The port itself has several bars and restaurants.

Cala Banyalbufar

Continuing past the road leading to Port De S'es Cononge, approximately 5km, you will arrive in the beautiful seaside town of Banyalbufar. Upon entering the town you will notice a sign with directions down the hill to the beach. Once again this is a rocky beach but the warm sea and waterfall more than make up for it.

Cala de Deia

This magical place is found just past the village of Deia approximately 12kms from Podadores. The village of Deia is an art and music lovers paradise and has several excellent bars and restaurants. The beach is accessed through a small road leading from the village to the parking area just above the beach.

Playa D'es Trenc

The southern side of Mallorca is where you will find hundreds of sandy white beaches that are more popular with tourist and as a result quite crowded. One notable exception is the incredibly beautiful beach of Es Trenc. Playa D'es Trenc is approximately a one hour drive from Podadores, between the towns of Campos and Colonia de St Jordi. The beach itself is approximately 5km long and has beautiful white sand and turquoise shallow water for swimming. There are facilities located at the beach, including bars and restaurants.

Wine Tasting:

Mallorca has a burgeoning wine industry and there are many vineyards close to Podadores. Bodega es Verger is a small, award winning winery located in the hills above Esporles approximately 6km from the villa.
